Oldest Pontiac Found!

14 09 09 - 00:27

The Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance in Westport, Connecticut wanted to include Pontiac in this year's showing, so they went looking for the oldest example possible. They tracked down a dozen Pontiacs from the brand's inaugural year (1926). Of those, they found a 1926 two-door coach from Minnetonka, Minnesota was the oldset in the land .

Co-owned by Roy Jaszczak & his son Paul, the Series 6-27 is in good running condition and it's a true "survivor"! All it's ever had done to it, was a clean-up, a valve job, and replacement tires for the ones that still had a Lindbergh-era logo on them.

To honor their stewardship of the oldest Pontiac, the car will be shipped to the Concours and the Jaszczak's will be flown to New York where they'll drive the car up to Westport for the show. The Concours will pick up the tab for their adventure.
