Welcome to Detroit, Now GO HOME!
20 09 12 - 06:52Cartography (map making) has always been a dangerous business. In the days of yore, these intrepid explorers braved ocean storms, disease, & angry indigenous tribes. Those dangers haven't gone away in today's world, especially when you're mapping out urban Detroit. Look closely at the top photo & you'll see a group of deadbeats on a nondescript porch in one of the city's toughest neighborhoods. Notice the punk on the right? See the gun he's holding? Now look at the 2nd pic where he's aiming at the Google Street View Camera Car...
Another proud moment in Detroit's history is recorded for posterity.
According to BetaBeat: ...this is the same house where a one-year-old girl was found dead in a closet back in June. Ziya Turner was reported missing by her uncle before being found by cadaver dogs in the closet some hours later. Autopsy results were never released. The family cooperated with police and no one was arrested in connection to the death.
